Good evening all,

Just a quick question - I am trying to open a bank account for a NEW holding company (trading company is with Santander).

I have applied with a few banks...

Santander do not open business current accounts for holding companies.
HSBC need the trading company in HSBC (cannot be moved accorss just yet).
Starling do not offer the service for holding companies.

Any knowledge of banks offering this service to new companies please?

My partner created a new holding company with Metro the other week, her trading companies are with Metro too though.

Which part of Santander are you with?

If you can get into Corporate, they can definitely bank holding companies.

Just the business part of Santander.... they keep telling me they don't do it for holding companies.

I have been pointed towards Revolut... I hope they are a reliable setup.

I’ve got a holding company account with Santander. Albeit opened years ago it’s never been an issue.

I wonder if you have confused them by highlighting it’s a holding company? It shouldn’t make any difference to them what the company is if it’s got a certificate of incorporation and a non P.O. Box address.

Yes quite possibly have confused them....

I've been playing around with Revolut for a few days now and seems good enough.
