Need accountant for sml Ltd Essex

Hi,

I run a small web site design and software business from Braintree, Essex.

I have been a sole trader for about 2 and a half years now, but really want to become Ltd for the legal protection etc.

I currently have an accountant but he only deals with Sole Traders, can anyone advise an affordable local accountant who could help get my company setup, be the secretary, and do my accounts etc?

Any referrals would be greatly received… I am in Braintree, Essex – between Colchester and Chelmsford.

I have used Hunt Smee and Co. for 17 years and always been pretty happy. They do all my paperwork relating to Vat,tax, wages, invoicing etc, virtually like having an extra employee. They also did everything relating to changing to a LTD company a couple of years ago.The chap you might want to speak to is Keith Smee on 01268 521244.They are based in Basildon but I believe Keith may live somewhere out your way (ish!).

Thanks for the info so far, though as I am based in Braintree I would really like to find someone in the Braintree, Witham, Chelmsford, Colchester area if posiable. Any ideas?
