"slander" acusation advice needed

Can't wait to hear about this and see how plays out.

I was victim to slander, mostly people touting I drove on cloned plates and without MOT due to some stupid twunts and inaccurate record online.

Went round and round alienating me from my life, interactions and self perception.. I believe libel is if published, slander is if weaker, like spoken words/lies etc so interested in hearing more and any legal opinions of lander.

As you say slander is spoken so harder to prove.

Indeed, not sure if OP has proof but in my case, I knew a few of the original spreaders and suspected the source and reason but appeared unlikely to win any case in court

Did consider the out of date database online for cars MOT to be libel but never pursued it, just keep sending them letters asking them to correct online record, while police have confirmed it is accurately reported as legal on their own database..

If you have business insurance ring the legal expenses provider they will assist - if not a standalone policy check for cover in other policies.

If not see if legal expenses is included in your cover.

Are you being accused of slander or are you saying you have been slandered?

I'm assuming this relates to your business and that being the case, if there exist sufficient risk to your business, I would suggest you engage the services of a Solicitor rather than rely on a call from a stranger on the internet, no matter how well meaning they may be.
