Hi there, I run a trade home improvement business and I’m looking to get seed funding to take my concept to the next level (Uber of home improvements so to speak)

Where is the best place to start ?

Thanks

It's usual the three Fs to get started, friends, family and fools.

How much of your own skin are you putting into the game, how much are you looking to raise and when would an investor get their money back?

Start by preparing a Business Plan and Pitch Deck. These should clearly outline your business concept, market analysis, unique value proposition, business model, and financial projections.

Then, research and identify angel investors and venture capitalists who have a history of investing in home improvement or tech-driven platforms. Websites like AngelList and Crunchbase can be useful for this.

Consider applying to startup incubators and accelerators. Examples include Seedcamp, Techstars London, and Entrepreneur First.

Platforms like Kickstarter or Indiegogo can also be useful to raise seed funding, especially if your concept resonates well with the general public.

Well if you’re thinking of raising through private investors you may need to inform yourself first
