Might be your bank vs them.

It’s fairly well known that weekends and financial transfers are not great bedfellows.

Indeed, and it can work to your benefit. Lloyds will give you a benefit, do a transfer on a Saturday and it appears in the receiving account more or less immediately, yet in the Lloyds account it is forward dated to the next working day. You end up with the same money in both accounts for that period.

It's funny that the first part of the transaction always works, where it leaves your account........it just doesn't credit the beneficiary until next working day. It just hangs around in banking limbo, in the banks favour.

I've learnt not to trust Marcus as the weekend, it's not reliable. If you send £10k to buy a new car don't expect it to turn up at the other end.
