We outsource all of our freight (LCL, FCL, FTL) and courier work, are looking at software to help manage it, to bring in efficiency, better visibility of our active deliveries etc.

Any recommendations from anyone in a similar position?

I will have a look at boxtop, but yes, we are a shipper. Not huge, with an annual spend of £5-750k, but with a model that doesn't lend itself to a singular forwarder / supplier.

Are you saying you want something that aggregates a range of shipping providers (eg DHL, FedEx etc) and determines the most effective option for a given manifest?

As far as I’m aware your going to have different logins for different systems

You need some kind of master platform that integrates other companies.
We’re big on software and bought and made our own but it only uses our own

We aren't looking for a system to tell us the best rate/routing, as we already know that, as the vast majority is repeat loads, sometimes up to 5 FTL per day, for five consecutive days.

The issue is that we have a wide team with a wide range of hauliers and routes. We need a system that a) enables us to automate to a degree our freight booking (when FTL/FCL, especially with customs doc's etc) and b) allows us to see live shipments, what is due when etc, giving performance figures for each haulier etc.

I appreciate that having something that links with many hauliers etc is beyond us for now, but at least having a live view of shipments, will prompt the appropriate team to follow up with warehouse/haulier/customer to ensure delivery was made, and then manually ticked off for each delivery.
