Commercial property,
I was looking at adding my wife to the deeds of a commercial property we own.
At present it’s let (with an expired lease) I’m about to renew the lease but should I pop my gloggs
I assume it would be easier if her name was on the deeds as well?.

Isn't that what a will is for?

I was looking to do similar, no mortgage and residential property so thought it would be straightforward.

Spoke to my solicitor and she said she would have to get register entries, prepare the transfer and register with land registry, quoted me £1100 - £1500 plus vat which I thought was steep!

There was then a land registry fee on top which is based on the value of the property. I seem to recall this being several hundred.
