How to track price lists, history, dollar, euro over time?
Discussion
I dont have a particularly large inventory, approx 130 items, but ive got price history from buying $ stock over last 3 years, add in my rrp £ prices, discounted tiers, brochures, competitors prices, im looking to some EU items so i will have EUR prices to add in too, plus the exchange rates fluctuations. I dont stock every product on the suppliers list they send me so its all gone way past being bit tedious in excel...
Seaching for "price mgmt tools" and the like brings up the wrong tools that manage stocks or prices at scale across Amazon, supermarkets etc... How do others manage it?

If Excel is turning into a monster, I’d move the master list into Airtable or Smartsheet so you can treat each SKU like a record, then add fields for GBP/USD/EUR, competitor price, discount tiers, and a simple “last updated” log. You can still feed it from a sheet and pull live FX rates into a couple of fields, but the big win is you stop fighting formulas and version chaos.
Store it in an SQL database with a date stamp? I would suggest setting up a workflow tool to pull it in and create the record so it isn't manual.
SSIS or Powerautomate do the final steps, so it's about how you're getting and preparing the data in this process that will help you speed it up.
