Viewing a unit this wk & I'd seen the rates figures for it in the agents info & I'd looked it up myself online.

Rateable value well under the SBRR figure, so all good.

Agent then says oh but you are aware SBRR is ending in April? Err no I said, I know has been significant re ratings & will push many properties over the limit, but this is well under that figure.


He's adamant he's correct, agent is a large commercial property sales & letting outfit. However I've searched all I can find & no that's not the case that I can see??

He’s wrong. It will still be for properties below 15K

Agreed he is wrong. SBRR remains.

Potentially he was getting confused with retail hospitality and leisure relief that is going.
