Ours went up slightly but still way below pre covid levels. Not unhappy with it.

I think about £24,000. But I guess that has reduced as the rates payable has reduced.

Nice.

Ours is marginally up with a slightly lower RV.

I’ll play.

Mine have gone up tenfold…..

Ok, they were minimal before but gone from £504 to £5340. This is purely due to the revaluation.

RV up from £49k to £53k.

Given some of the stories I've heard. I shall just keep my mouth shut.

Ours went up 32% on a 78K RV, not particularly happy considering the grief the local council has been giving us.

40% increase in RV. Small industrial units that were marginally under the level for 100% small business relief until now. Bit of a pain as also sat on an empty one next door. Probably should get motivated to do something with it.

449% increase - revaluation to just outside of small business relief, just means I have another £5000 to find to enable me to stand still, on top of all the other costs going up. Thanks Rachel.

Similar story here. Qualified for SBRR before revaluation, now we don't despite nothing changing.

But presumably you’ll get relief to cap the increase in payable per year

You shoukd get some form of relief though capping the increase?

Do you operate pubs?

No, only hospitality matters apparently. I need a celebrity mechanic to get on TV and complain about it in the same way all the chefs have.

As I understand it the capping only applies to the multipliers, as (both) my buildings have been revalued to just above the SBRR threshold there is no such protection.

I have queried it (I think that their working’s are incorrect) but seemingly not.

I’m not giving up yet - I’d get my MP involved but he’s hopeless, I’d rather send my dog to the council offices….

I am not convinced the software I use at work is currently calculating the small business and supporting small relief correctly. With the appeal deadline of 31March for the 2023 list I don’t have time right now to get to the bottom of it.

However if message me with details of the address of the property (ies) I’ll have a look after 1st April. You may need to remind me !
