Public Liability Insurance

Are there any insurance experts on here?

I work for a consultancy, who dows work overseas sometimes.

Apparently, our Public Liability insurance is international, but subject to local legal restrictions.

Our brokers tell us that in Ireland, there is a local legal requirement that insurance be obtained locally. They also say that there a number of countries where this is similar.

Now we work in many places, Middle East, Africa, occasional trips to China.

So does this mean we need to take out local insurance in every such country - or attempt to exclude liability, which many clients may not accept.

Any advice?
