This is a bit of a long shot, but I haven't really got anything to lose by it.

I'm currently desperately searching for a job and struggling to find anything at the moment. This is probably partly down to my slightly unusual situation (good A-levels and GCSEs, 3 years of studying veterinary medicine, now doing an OU law degree). Everywhere wants experience or, for the jobs that don't, say that I'm over-qualified! It's incredibly frustrating because the main reason I'm doing law through the OU is so that I can gain relevent experience at the same time, and I'm willing to work my arse off in the lowest available job, but no-one's giving me the opportunity.

If you know of any jobs going, I'd be extremely grateful if you'd let me know. I know that, due to my limited experience, I'm not going to walk into a 'good' job, but I'm just looking for any support role of any kind that will give me a chance to build up useful experience (I'm currently doing photocopying for the MoD, and think I've pretty much exhausted all the opportunities to learn new skills in this job!).

Anything would be wonderful.

Thanks.

Sam

Sam,

I can't promise anything at the moment, but we are frequently looking for staff for the office.

I will keep this on file for future reference.

Can you send me a CV via email either through my profile or 'Blakes'.

Cheers

Steve

Can't help directly, but have you tried www.monster.co.uk ?

A lot of people must be using that these days judging by the number of calls and e-mails I've had in the last two months since I reggied on there....

I can't say that I've looked through Monster a huge amount. Check a number of the online agency places regularly, and apply to anything that looks even vaguely interesting. Just looking through Monster now though, so thanks for reminding me.
