I am owed money by a Race Team. I have threatened to send this notice out.
How do I stand legally ?
For the attention of suppliers and involved parties of,
COMPANY NAME & ADDRESS
My company was contracted to supply Engineering Services for their Race Team.
They refuse to pay legitimate and agreed Invoices.
I would suggest that if you are supplying goods or services to this company, that you demand payment in advance.
Thanks
Graham

Depends. If they claim they are in dispute with you then you could lay yourself open to all sorts by behaving like that.
I know it's tough, but sometimes you have to write off some debts as simply unobtainable.
Why is it unobtainable ? I haven't even started yet :shoot .
It is theft.
Lanan ... without breaching the 'name and shame' conditions on this site, can you give a concise explanation of what you've been through, including the approximate amount in dispute and the correspondence between you and your creditor?
From there we will be able to give you a little advice.

I did just type out a whole answer of why its a bad idea.
However, I've deleted it and decided to simply say - go see a solicitor. You wont get the advice you really need on a forum specific to your case.
Do not start sending letters to their suppliers. Thats just a really bad idea.
Issuing a winding up order is not that simple. First you have to get judgement against the creditor, the debt has to be over £750 for a statutory demand to be issued. If the stat demand is ignored you may then apply for bankruptcy proceedings (in the case of judgemnet against an individual) or a winding up order in the case of judgement against a company.
The costs for these are considerable if the debt is not huge. You will have process server fees and legal fees on top of what you have to pay the court to issue the orders. And time process from applying for judgement to issuing a winding up order will be about 6 weeks min.
You may be able to apply for a cost order but usually you can only expect 80% of your costs to be paid.
