talk talk phone deal

If you check the website
www.talktalk.co.uk/talktalk/servlet/gben-LLU-PageServer?article=MAIN.UK.TALKTALK.STATIC.TESTHUB
it is free calls to USA and Canada plus free calls (70 min each) to mobiles in these countries for 9.99 month. Not sure what the stance is on business customers.

I saw that in the Sunday papers and wondered if I was missing something - £9.99 including all calls to normal landline numbers (it is *not* free to mobiles) in quite a few countries seems remarkable. I wondered if the calls were VoIP, but I don't think so. Oh, and free Broadband too.
Am I missing something here?

It's doesn't seem clear from the website but I was at the launch for this and it "is" the case for talk talk mobiles and to mobiles (any network I think?) in N America. Best ask in store as it may have changed since I last looked at it.

ta ,what about this skype network package deal thing ?
Which Skype network package deal thing?
www.skype.com
Its a programme that runs on your pc (as long as you have speakers and a mic) and allows your pc to call other skype users on another pc/mac for free of charge. If you need to break out onto the normal telephone network then you have the option of buying a few minutes airtime, and if you want a telephone number that people can call which terminate on your skype account (whereever you are logged in) then you can do that as well.
Skype has the advantage that it probably has the biggest share of the voip market now. Its not being pushed for business yet.
Having said that, multiple devices running the same Skype username will all ring if an incoming call is made. We have also tested that a SkypeIn number can be rung multiple times to multiple devices and you do get the basic principle of extra incoming lines for no added cost.
