Hi,

We've had a couple of little network glitches recently (don't ask!) but are planning to build a new domain and migrate the apps across one by one e.g. exchange 2003, sharepoint, OWA, the sql dbs etc etc Theres about 30 to 40 staff in the company but quite a few servers and laptops needing moving.

We're looking for a contractor to help or company that does this sort of thing who can work alongside a couple of the guys and explain what is being done and why. Ideally we would like this reviewed and started asap. I'm estimating this will take a couple of weeks to get us up and running with all of this configured nicely.

We're based near guildford in surrey.

So if you know or can reccomend anyone please reply or e-mail me.

Thanks

Dave

From experience, this is quite a large task and often unnecessary.
Is there any mileage in attempting to fix what you've got rather than replace everything?

Exchange will be a pain to migrate (whilst retaining all the features, like the ability to reply to previously sent mail, Single Instance Storage etc) and co-existance for the week or two will generate a lot of hassle for your users.

I've just completed exactly the same thing (but over 13 countries) and have done several over the years. I'd be happy to discuss the pros/cons of both approaches if you'd like.

Exchange is the Devils spawn We do have staffers who are Certified.. but we don't tend to work 'off network'.
I have a few contacts in this field, I'll point them at this thread and hope your budgets stretches to triple figure per hour.

Thanks all, I've passed the details on to the guys who are in the office breaking and fixing things I've said if they do call anyone to mention my name to avoid the random phone call confusion type of thing.

Cheers
