Anyone know the costs involved ?

Price per day ?

For a hall with a capacity of 300 people
and what about something larger like 600 people ?

Thanks in advance - I checked google but you have to email /call for a quote !

Depends when, where and what for. Most places also offer AV equipment hire as extra and what about refreshments - that's where most venues make their wedge.

Have recently been quoted £350 for a 300 seat venue in East Sussex but £2.45 per head for Tea and Coffee.

Also looking to hire the Del La Warr pavillion in Bexhill so as soon as I get the costs for this, I'll post them here.

Where abouts do you want it, am sure costs will vary wildly. If you want London then I seem to remember (from a few years ago mind) that the IOD were good on price, have to be a member though but might be worth joining just for the saving.

I'd be interested in the answers to this, mainly as I am involved in the development of a proposed new community facility in East Sussex and I keep getting told there is demand for a large conference centre. So would be interested in hire rates.

Which venue is the £300 for and nw long was the booking? Need this sort of information for my Business Plan!

Most of the hotels list rates on their sites.

Millenium Copthorne near Gatwick, use the word wedding and the price is a special £6000+

OK then: De La Warr Pavillion: 1,000 seat Auditorium 4 hour rate is £550, 8 hour rate is £1,100 (30% discount for not-for-profit) If you need the balcony, that's £150 or £300 extra respectively.

The other venue I quoted is Dale Hill Hotel in Ticehurst and is for 50 people for two, 2 hour bookngs on the same day.

Hope that helps.

thanks for the replies gentlemen.

Those prices are really good,

I need a central London location ... and the prices are sky high !

Cannot believe the costs involved - I'm tempted to use my local library
( £7 per hour and a capacity of about 40 ! )

We do a 250 person room for £450 for the day, plus catering. Daily delegate rates including room, beverages throughout the day and lunch is between £22 and £28, we charge £25.

Are you or anyone you know members of the IOD? They have some good facilities at resonable costs in Pall Mall.

I won my biggest ever contract at a meeting at the IOD in Pall Mall. Ended up in one of their bars smoking the biggest cigars they had!
