I've had a quick search through the forums, but can't see anything along these lines. We are just moving into our first "proper" office, and will be looking for probably 3-4 phone lines, and a broadband package. We are in Central London (Old St). Does anyone have any recommendations for providers/packages that are good?

ahh, so someone on this forum does have a phone line. I thought you might be lurking out there

how does the VOIP work in relation to handling multiple lines, and what about transferring between desks etc?

Hi, I've got 2 lines and a fax line using vonage, so i've got 2 of their routers plugged into my lan.

it does call, hunting, ring lists and transfering ect fine, each line has its own number so you simply transfer to that number or even an external number. the deals are all inclusive so to transfer to an external number is at no extra cost.

The voice mail is quite handy if your out a lot as it will e-mail you the alert and message, so i can get my voice mail on my smartphone as an e-mail.

if you move offices, just unplug the router plug it into a lan somewhere else... handy if you want different dialing codes as well on the same or other lines..

for me its cheap and easy enough and i've had no problems in 18 months

Interesting. Ive actually already ordered a bulldog package with three lines, but the real selling point was the 1meg upstream speed, which we have now, and is very very useful. The limitation is that you cannot have any more than three lines, so I was planning on goign with Vonage when more lines were needed.
