I am in the process of updating my Dads PCs and software at his business. He runs an Automatic Transmissions repair centre, with 3 employees currently.
The payroll is dealt with by the accountant.

One problem I have is that he runs a DOS version of Sage and is reluctant to change (the Accountant likes it). I am aiming to convert from Win98 to Win2000/XP.

Can anyone suggest a simple package that would deal with the basics of invoicing/stock control etc?
He has tried Garagebase, but does not get on with it.

Thanks

Quickbooks is fairly easy to use. Other wise Id upgrade to a more recent sage.

The DOS version should run on Windows XP and 2000... although you'd struggle to get any support for it these days... I'd upgrade to a later version of Sage, as the terminology has been maintained over the years... so he should get used to it very quickly.

Ok, thanks for those.
Anyone with any experience of more specific packages?

Thanks

Paul, does he need something bespoke, or is it just general invoicing (billing) and stock control (possibly with traceable parts etc)?
