Where to look for Government grants?
Discussion
I won't bore you with the details, but I support a particular charity that is expanding their operation. As part of this they are opening a shop-front in the town. Currently there are steps going into the building and we'll need to put in disability access and fittings (toilets, etc).
A friend of mine said that the college she works at managed to get a government grant to pay for the work to carry out disability access. Now I'm thinking that if a college "qualifies" it's conceivable that a charity might also qualify.
As such, does anyone know where to start looking for this information?

Try this: www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/HomeAndHousingOptions/YourHome/DG_4000642 & if applicable, investigate this: www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Customers/HelpForDisabledPeople/AccesstoWork/ .
