Hi can someone please translate the following into German for me:

Dear Sir,

I sent a signed fax as requested yesterday, Monday 12th February at 1pm to 0044 ....

I will not scan and send my bank card as a jpeg or PDF/attachment for security reasons.
If this is the only way to authorise my VISA Card payment then I unfortunately have to cancel.

Yours Sincerely

** The Story so Far ... **

I bought something online (German company) and they asked for a copy of the front of my card to be faxed to them.
I faxed it but the order timed out. Now they are asking for a jpeg/PDF , but I do not want to send it.
I don't mind a faxed document - but any digital files are easily misplaced lost !

Thanks for any help !

R
PS: They are a big company I have ordered from in the past. I'm using a new bank card and they asked for verification since the order was above £50.

Sehr geehrter Herr,

I've assumed they've asked for a fax yesterday and you've sent it on moday 0100pm(?), and you wanted to cancel an order, and I've added a courteous line at the end, in which you ask for understanding and that you hope the fax is sufficient.

HTH, Ramesh

no doubt SGirl will correct me

er .....this is what happened.

Thursday - Order online for $125 USD.
Friday - I was asked to EITHER fax or email a signed copy of the front of my VISA card stating I placed the order.
I faxed this on Monday around 1pm. The fax was sent.

I got an email this morning saying they have not received the fax and I have to place the order again and this time
email the PDF signed document+image of the front of my card.

I do trust this company. But I am not going to email them an image of my bank card.
Its quite easy for this to circulate on the net...what with spyware and such.

So I then have to say I am cancelling the order. I was quite happy to fax a signed copy .

I have used another bank card in the past with the same company.

This is new company policy due to online fraud e.t.c. I suppose.

I wish I was bilingual !

Could the reason they haven't received the fax be that the number you sent it to began 0044 instead of 0049? ETA as per your original post.
