I'm tinkering with a little project and thinking how nice it would be to have the metal bits cut quickly and accurately with one of those nice laser/water jet thingys rather that slowly and innacurately by me with a hacksaw.

Anyone know of a company that is set up to do this econonically for one-offs of small parts? Really just want somewhere that I can email a drawing to and get a bit back in the post.

Fabrication Techniques in Buckingham.

www.fabtech.org.uk/home.html

A quick google for their phone number revealed this PH article: www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=47&i=8936 about a nice Atom type car they developed.

They do a lot of great stuff including Yamaha GP bike frames, and other pretty amazing things with metal.

Speak to Mark

They will take a drawing as a dwg or pdf if I remember correctly.

The dont do laser cutting themsevlves on-site but their conventional cutting is brilliant, even in materials like titanium etc.

Ta for that. I've solved my immediate problem elsewhere but I'll keep a note for the future.
