Freelancer directory / web development

[o.versteer]

Evening all,

I am looking for a freelance coder/designer to work with me on various web development projects. There are sites out there that list such people, but they tend to be more centred on outsourcing to low-cost countries, which is not for me, I want someone based in the UK.

So, er, the question is, are there any such websites out there that list people based in the UK, or should I simply put up an ad here on PH?

Any hints, tips and opinions very welcome indeed, feel free to PM me if you prefer to communicate that way.
