Mortgage Brokers

My son and I run our own business, and due to recent investment and our work being seasonal we are finding we have more time on our hands.
We have thought about several things we can do with this time, one being Morgage Brokers as that gives us flexibility to work round our current business. The question is how do we start? Many years ago I did a spell with a company doing Financial Planning, so I have some experience.
What qualifications do we need? etc. etc.
Or does anyone have alternative ideas as to what we can do, especially in the winter. I am too old to be a ski instructor!!
