I am drafting a winding up petition form 4.2. I am stuck on the section where it asks for an affidavit, in section k, - that the petition is or is not in accordance with the EU regulation on insolvency. I have never come across this provision before, so any help on it would be greatly appreciated.

get a lawyer to do it, costs about £3k, and you can recover that assuming your target company has the means to pay your claim.

3k to wind a company up? me thinks you must have been using London Lawyers or wound up yourself.

The last one we did a few months ago cost £1200. We can take the claim as far as The Statutory Demand, if a Winding up petition is required we either sub it to our Solicitors or advise the client to instruct his.

I would advise you speak to a Solicitor or ask them to handle the order.

we use Eversheds - they can be pricy, however the company in question is quite large, and the amounts owed were significant, so there was little point in instructing a small firm to handle our case, or one which had to sub contract any part of it.

Way off the actual cost.

I reckon we wind up a dozen clients a year and it's about half that cost.
