Keep switching from bank to bank to get the best deal, you will at least get free banking for 12 to 18 months. But you will need to check this against how much time and effort you will put in and trade off the potential savings v costs to yourself in time and admin.

As a member of the FSB, we qualify for free banking with Co-operative Bank; turns out that after re-locating, we ended up having a branch of Barclays on our doorstep and it has proven to be very handy.

Having worked out our bank charges for the last quarter, I think it's time to reconsider... but it comes down to convenience again.

I am in the process of leaving the same bank after 20 years of business banking with them.

I worked out I paid almost £1800 in business bank charges last year, for crediting my account using their merchant services, they are charging me once to take a payment from a customer and then again to pay the money into my account. what with cheques issued etc.... on the 3 accounts I have with them I am racking up £150 per month in charges....

Moving to another company who are offering me 5 years free banking (except BACS And International transfers) as long as I pay in £1000 per month and keep the account in the black, easy

I don't do direct debits only cheques from all my business accounts so easy to change..

It has taken me less than 2 hours to change the accounts and less than 3 weeks duration to get them all set up. Even if my time was £100 per hour I have just saved £1600
