Have been recomended something called "Professional Portfolio" from Generali International?

Its basicaly an investemnt fund for Expatriate investors that shields the fund from various taxes and appears to provide some quite beneficial discounts on various fees.

Just wondering if anyone more financially astute than i could give a second opinion?

Take a look at the Norwich Union International Premier Portfolio Bond.
3200 funds, most with big discounts on the bid/offer spread & amc.

How available is that to someone "significantly offshore" ??

I see you are in CI, from what i understand from the IFA i have been talking to, this GI fund is also managed from Gurnsey.

As mentioned on another thread, I am an engineer and what i know about sensible financial investment could be written on the underside of a sump plug!
