Importing Wine for resale

Hi I was looking for some help with importing wine for resale.
Does anyone have a good link where I can read up on taxes and duty.
I also wanted to know if I needed a licence to sell wine online?
all info would be appreciated.
It would be on a part time hobby basis but may turn more serious later.
Also if I wanted to run this from home, would I be allowed to take deliveries etc. I would imagine to start with to only have a couple of deliveries a year, and I may even collect the stuff myself.

Not done it, but I'd suggest:
Start here and all around the site.
I would have thought you certainly need to be licensed.
Those are likely to be your two big nightmares.

I can't see an issue with receiving deliveries. I'd expect any details to be covered by your alcohol licence. You might have issues with neighbours and the council if it's your garage.

It's not easy money at all....otherwise I'd do it
Have a read of the licensing act 2003 which you'll need to conform to.
