Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a company for home business insurance where i can preferably get an online quote?

Myself and my business partner run a small company selling to trade and retail via websites and ebay.

I would recommend looking for a home insurance policy which specifically covers you for business equipement and stock.

I got mine through Lloyds TSB as a broker. I would try there as it only added tens of pounds to my insurance bill as oppose to a completely separate policy.

That said though, there are likely to be limits etc and will only pay for the replacement value and not for loss of business etc, however to get this kind of coverage may cost you more than you are willing to pay anyway!

When i was running an ebay business from home, i found that no one would insure my stock and things like public liability.

Things might have changed now but my 2 pence worth.
