Well, ok, but what is really needed to get Britain moving is a much more realistic tax structure. In my view the reason that people don't plough money back into business the way they used to is that the tax structure is ludicrously heavy, margins are tight and conditions change so fast that you stand a good chance of losing your shirt.

Fiscal policy - yes, infrastructure too, and people running the show who know more than how to badly organise a secondary picket

Totally agree. The infrastructure is goosed. And the solution is to sell it off to people whose only interest is screwing money out of the users. It makes you weep to think what was done in the 19th century for the benefit of the public and the country.
