Hi

One of our clients has a requirement to archive off around 27GB of emails. They want to be able to filter which emails are archived based on date, from field, etc. There must be a number of pieces of software out there to do this but I wondered if anyone had any recommendations based on direct experience?

Thanks in advance,

roadie.

Oops, I meant to put this in the Computers & Stuff form - could a mod move it please?

Thanks,

roadie.

Lee, in a past life I did this for a living. It depends what your client wants to do and what their reasons for archiving are but the big names out there are all on this page:

roadie, sorry to hijack, but I sent you an email through PH last week; not had a response, so wondering whether you did receive it (and have chosen to ignore it hehe)?

There is something called Enterprise Vault that you may want to take a look at. I've used this in the past, but it was so long ago that i've forgotton most of it.
Will try and dig something out. It's better than a PST file as it supports more than a 2GB file.

I've been meaning to call you for the last two days. I have a possible lead - a client requiring Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity services and for both data and voice. They already have a partial solution in place so I don't know if there's an opportunity there. I will give you a call tomorrow. smile
