Has anyone looked at...

http://www.activecollab.com/pages/1/activecollab/d...

Or experience of basecamp?

http://www.basecamphq.com/

We are just looking at ways to streamline our project communication, I think project server might be a bit much and wondered what else was out there.

Thoughts?

We've used project server is an option, however it is a bit of a monster for what we want..

Now I've found goplan....

This gets more confusing.

Ah OK, try Project KickStart 4 (you can download it free from zdnet.com). It's pretty good and do Gant Charts etc

Ah, I understand..

We already use MS project in house for some stuff, what I'm looking for is something that can become communications tool (like basecamp), document storage area sort of thing that will work online for our clients.

Becoming clearer?

Ooops, crystal clear now!

Not used anything like it myself but I've just run it past the IT dept and they reckon basecamp is about as good as your likely to get.

ETA: But as soon as you need more than the 'personal' ($12 month) or 'basic' ($24 month) it starts to get expensive....
