leasing with bad credit - possible?

I'll shortly be coming off my company car scheme and I need to sort buying/leasing a vehicle in the next month.

I previously had bad credit, which has been paid, but I've not repaired it with a credit card. Now I am finding it difficult to lease a car in my name.

Are there any companies that would be willing to lease me a vehicle on say a 2yr basis and I pay a yr up front?

Or could a friend lease the vehicle even if it is for my use?

Any help would be appreciated.

Back of exchange and mart there is a company called CCS I think, non status vehicle leasing. Job done. £ onths up front I think and then monthly payments
