Bit of legal text needed

Need a bit of help with a bit of legal text.

I need to refund some money (easiest option to me), but in the covering letter i want a paragraph that more or less says:

"In accepting this money you and your team agree to stop all claims against myself, my company, etc.......and never contact me again directly or indirectly."

Just need something that wraps everything up.

Help!

You would need to cover yourself that these terms were accepted.

So, you could write something like that, and get them to sign it, and *then* you send the refund, or you send the refund by cheque and write something like:

These funds are offered solely as full and final settlement between youself and XYZ Limited.

If they cash the cheque then that have accepted the terms. If they don't like the terms they can't cash the cheque.

Could write on the back of the cheque too couldn't you? By banking it they could not claim for example they didnt receive a letter and agree to it...

Firstly, you need them to sign a disclaimer BEFORE you send them any money.
It also depends on who this person is – is it a company or individual? I ask as the “you and your team” doesn’t really mean much. And finally why do you want to cease the relationship?

Something along the lines of:

Further to your purchase of [ ] which you purchased on [ ] for [ ]. [your company name] will provide you with a refund to the sum of [ ] in exchange for [the product] on the following basis:
• That you accept that there are no further claims by [that company name] to [your company name];
• That you accept this is a full and final settlement;
• That you will cease to trade with [ ] henceforth.
Please kindly sign and return and we will send your refund.

Yours sincerely
