Data Capture - Kofax/Cardiff

Does anyone use Kofax ascent or Cardiff data capture software?

Looking into both at the moment and wondering if anyone had opinions good or bad about either.

Will be scanning no more than 300,000 items per year initially.

How easy is it to set up new documents for scanning?

I looked into the cardiff Software many years ago and was impressed by its range of features.
I was put off by the lack of UK support at that time and decided against it... Now their an autonomy company things may be better.

Although Kofax has been around for a long time I'm not sure its advantages remain as marked as before...

Having previously tried everything from homebrew - scan / barcode /embed and 'clever' database systems for projects of up to 6m documents I'm now a believer in outsourcing this...
