I have just tried to buy/rent 3 BT telephone lines on the same number, together with broadband (internet order).

I received a reply saying that I can't have multiple lines on the same number AND broadband; it's one or the other(!)

This doesn't sound right to me, so I emailed BT back, but as yet, no reply. Does anyone know of other options for multiple lines on one number AND broadband?

I don't think it seems THAT difficult; every other law firm I've worked at has that kind of set up.

nb It was with Featureline Compact, if that helps.

Sadly they are right if you want to have ADSL it must be provided on a DEL (Direct Exchange Line) which come in 1's what you have asked for is an Aux Group (1 number several lines) whether they are featureline Compact or not won't make any difference. (Side Note) BT are only pushing featureline compacts because it makes it more difficult for other telecoms companies to steal you away from them.

if you have a Fax Machine can you not have adsl added to that line?

Do all the Lines need the same number? If they do then you will need to have a seperate Analogue Line Just for the ADSL

Some ADSL providers will do a package that includes the Line as well for £12 per month (ie. the Broadband is £2* per month plus £12 line rental so you have it all on one bill - shameless plug I work for this lot who do just that www.southern-comms.co.uk )

Hi Rich, as above i am afraid no adsl on aux working lines it must be a direct exchange line this is because as a self install service aux working lines do not have a master socket from which you can connect the router and adsl will not work through a phone system .
