Survey - Automotive forum users

Dear forum users,


My name is Jasper van Diesen and I study Commercial Economics in the Netherlands. I have a specialisation in the automotive industry.
I am currently working on a research about automotive internet forums.

This research serves to get improved insight into the behaviour of the visitors of automotive forums.
Besides questions about the preferences of the users with regard to forum content users are also asked to look at to which properties a source of information must have according to the forum members when one goes in search of a new car. Using the results of these questions the information supplied by the dealer is compared to the available information on the forums.

Finally you are asked about your opinion concerning a current subject: the question if automotive firms should have a presence on the forums and what form this presence should take.

Your opinion regarding these matters is important for this research because by means of the results both forum administrators and firms that are active in the automotive industry can improve their services to adapt on the wishes of you as a consumer.

Love to but...

I cant be bothered to spend 10 minutes downloading a form, filling it in, highlighting my responses (you are having a laugh) and then emailing it. If I spent 30 seconds clicking some buttons you might get more responses.

Totally agree with this. The research sounds interesting, but you're going to get a much much better response if you use something like SurveyMonkey, your method is too complicated for people to bother.

Tnx for the link! I checked the site out and I might make a new revised survey although some questions are hard to convert into that format. I already have some responses (big tnx for the ones who did!) but the threshold to fill it out might be a bit high I agree.

Converting the questions into the new format is possible but a lot of information might get lost in the translation. Ill give it a shot though

In the meanwhile plz people fill one out if you can spare the time! It's greatly appreciated
