Is there anyone on these boards involved in this, based in London? I'm a recently qualified Chartered Surveyor, with a good range of experience, including investment agency, and quite fancy looking into this. Ideally I would like to be relocate to a London-based firm, to get access to some really big deals. Anyway, just looking for some advice/suggestions from anyone with experience.

Thanks

Wouldn't we all dear, wouldn't we all! For the really big deals, you need to be looking at the likes of JLL, CBRE, DTZ etc, but they will only take on the best of the best. And sadly, your timing is cack. Those with investment teams may be looking to downsize them rather than taking on newbies, given the sub-prime fall out. I target the occupier market myself, rather than the investment market, and my undertanding is that the latter is pretty well flat on it's face at the moment. Good luck anyway!

My post wasn't very clear - I'm already with one of the big firms and could get a shift down to our investment team in London if i want, but Im actually hoping to move into the development finance side, ie with a bank. Appreciate what you say re. the credit crunch, but there must be some who are taking a more bullish view?

Must make my CV-update clearer than my intro post...
