Trade Mark database online?

I seem to remember someone here mentioning that you could check trademarks online - however a search revealed nothing.

So, is this possible or was it just in my imagination?

I have a potential name for a new product range and Wikipedia says it is the name of a process used by a German company - this got me thinking that they could have it Trade Marked.
