We need to make some custom furniture for our office, a couple of bespoke size/shape desks and tables.

I’ve done quite a bit of hunting but not been able to find a supplier of laminate and edging suitable – we’ve got some samples from Formica, but on trying to order, they only supply the laminate sheets, not the edging as their main market is worktops apparently.

By edging, I mean the rounded bit for the front edge of the desk.

Can anyone on here supply or point me in the direction of anyone who can?

Try Duncan Reeds, they are good, google them.

Shore Laminates (Perth) are crap for volume production (make promises they cant keep) but are cheaper.

Thanks for the tips - Ney looks like they do just what we were after (the edging) but not the sheets, though so long as we can match some Formica sheet to the edges we're sorted.

I'll take a look at the other two as well.

Thanks again!

W.T Edens do what you need, not necessarily Formica but they do WilsonArt etc which is very similar. Once you have the manufacturer's reference numbers then Ney should be able to match them.
I'm sure you will already know that you will need to apply a balancer to the other side of whatever substrate you are using.
From memory their website is
www.edens.co.uk

How about Thorogoods in Ardleigh - they import and machine solid wood to bespoke designs so you can have any shape and edge profile you like:

I shall probably use them for new kitchen worktops as laminates just don't do what I have in mind.

Do you know anything about their prices? Didn't seem to be anything on the website. Most large timber firms (including Edens as above) can supply suitable timber for worktops etc but the prices vary A LOT (Edens are pretty expensive on these)
