Hi, can someone give me an idea of price for 3000 postcards with variable printing on 1 side. Full colour print on the other side.

Has anyone had experience with variable printing and how much better (if at all) it is when sending mailshots B2B?

Many thanks!

Sam,

If the back is simply an address and some text or simple images in black get a price with that laser printed with the other side litho/digital printed. This should help keep the cost down.

If you would like an offical quote feel free to email me at work on glyn AT amethystmailing.co.uk and I will get one done for you.

Regards
Glyn

I doubt Goodprint will be able to do this - by the look of their website they aren't dm people?. Suggest you use a 300gsm card for durability through the post - you can have whatever size you like - depends on your design really. Say A6 - gets you 8up on SRA3. A5 gets you 4up. The more up you get on a sheet - the cheaper it is.

To give you an idea - assuming A5 4/4 and NO work on the data or artwork, on our NexPress we'd charge you c.£350.00/£400.00. That includes us glossing one side if you want it.

But then we're not the cheapest! A copy shop would probably charge you less but might not understand the variable side - bit hit and miss sometimes.

No point whatsoever litho printing and lasering - 300gsm is a bugger to laser well, especially if you want a gloss finish as I think you said originally? Better to go colour from the kick off.

Oh and er......... pre payment would be requested (read mandatory wink), unless you have an established credit record.
