The choice could be simply look in the yellow pages, or ask a friend - both ways are pretty much the same as asking on here - I have no previous knowledge of the end result, only someone’s word to go on.

So, assembled business viewers of the PH Massive, can anyone recommend (or is anyone) a conveyancing solicitor who can simply move ownership of my house from a single name to joint names? Yes a mortgage is involved and I have permission of the mortgage company - no other perceived difficulties, fairly straight forward.

Oh yes, if you are a conveyancing solicitor, any rough idea on costs please?

TBH for a straight transfer of equity their skill and service isn't a huge issue. There isn't much to get wrong and they aren't going to lose you a sale or a purchase if they get it wrong.
