Currently just started out on my own and wondered if anyone here has any recomendations for a simple and easy to use software package for sales processing.

Basically I need something which can enter an order onto - allocate stock to that order from a purchase order and generate an invoice. I need something that gives a simple snapshot of profit on each order and can generate monthly p&l reports. shows payments that are outstanding and tick box or similar when payment received so i can keep on top of who has paid and who hasn't etc.

Currently have an older version of sage 50 but using it makes me want to throw my PC out the window!

Have a look at Quickbooks, I too have used Sage in the past and found it very frustrating, but I've been a QB user since 1995. It will do everything that you vrequire (and isn't expensive)

Also this new Microsoft Accounts packagae is getting favourable reviews, but I haven't looked at it in depth.

You do, however, need a bit of discipline/knowledge of accounts with QB as you can circumnavigate the basic rules of double entry bookiing without knowing it (I'm sure EricMc can explain better)
