Explain Bid Price and Bid Value please
Discussion
This is in relation to a Royal Skandia Managed Saving Account I have invested 65k in. Aside from the market going crazy I am trying to understand why its going down the pan to the extent it is(currently lost all profits and now 8k down on my investment. My IFA is just sitting back and letting me take it, well its not her money is it!

I am making an assumption that it is a unit linked investment. The bid price / value is effectively the same thing.
The bid price is the price that you can sell your investments at.
Not always the case but in a lot of cases the price you pay to buy the investment is called the "offer" price (and is usually higher than the bid price) this is how an initial charge is made when you first invest (called the bid offer spread, usually around 5%).
