I've hit a bit of a wall chaps. I pay myself through PAYE from the company. I recieved a tax notification recently for the rest of this financial year. I entered it and it says i was due a paye tax refund this month.

Whoopee.

Except the refund is more than the total NIC/Tax due to the accounts office in shipley. I have payed my NIC contributions as usual, and given myself the tax refund + my Salary. So essentially the company has subbed me the tax refund. Now I guess i'm supposed to knock that refund off the next months employee's tax due, but there is no next month, its the end of year!

The question is: How do i get that money back off HMRC ?

Cheers,

Charlie

send the remittance slip in with a negative figure on it and obviously no payment. On your P35 you will show an overpayment.

Knock it off month 1 next year.

I don't send remittance slips in, do it all through BACS.

just show the overpayment on your P35 then. If you get a reminder for month 12 sign it on the back to say no payment due.
