Wondering if anyone can help. Ages ago when Halifax demutualised (is that the right word?) to become a bank as opposed to a building society I received some shares from them. I haven't done anything with them since or heard from them. What's the best way to track them down? Would Halifax know?

Try and find out who the registrar is and contact them, they should have some details..

It might even be Halifax themselves!

How do I find out who the registrar is? I assume Halifax would know?

Do you now own HBOS shares? (HBOS now own Halifax), if you do then Computershare are the registrar.

you should have appx 200 shares ish as that is what most customers got. They became a bank in 1997 - are you sure you didn't sell them at the time as many did?
No, was only 13 then! Unless my dad did...will ring computershare thanks

ETA: Found them, they're under my dad's name so i'll get him to sort it. Cheers for everyone's help
