Sri Lanka - Anyone done work there?

We’re shortly going to be working on a project in Sri Lanka: 5 weeks ground work, recruiting a local team and will then run it remotely with a local manager in place.

It’s a government contract (waste management) and we’ve done all the background checks and stuff, aware of the security issues, etc. The money is escrowed and underwritten by the Word Bank.

Just wondered if anyone here has worked there and if there are any “hidden” issues we should be aware of.
