can anyone recommend a decent sharedealing website / service for trading within a SIPP - I would need to set the account up in the name of my SIPP, otherwise it should work as per an individual trade account.

any suggestions?

Share dealing with Lloyds is very good IMO.

Unless you are going to be trading actively then they are all much of a muchness. The big discount retail brokerages are an adminastrative nightmare, but once open and funded you can just trundle along.

If you are going to be trading heavily then you'd be wise to use a CFD, not for the leverrage but as they avoid Stamp Duty which will make a significant difference.

Anyway, back on topic, the best SIPP administrator by far is SIPPDeal. Cheapest and most competant. Not as flexible as James Hay but if you only want to broke through it then that's no issue.

I strongly suggest you go to their site and see which brokers are connected up to operate through their wrapper. The broker brand is sippdealextra.

If you want any further help then feel free to PM.
