Looking at getting a posh smoker, and looking at late 50's and early 60's Bentleys. Just wondered if anyone here did wedding hire... Might pay for the fuel and polish on an otherwise extravagant motor car.

I run a cab company anyway, so insurance, licencing etc isn't a problem.

Wanted to know rough cost of car hire for a day smile

I'm involved in hire of newer sportscars and supercars for weddings but not really anything that old at the moment purely because I'm not aware of anyone with such vehicles.

Most of the old Rlls/Bentley/Jaguars I've seen used for wedding hire really have been old smokers with loads of rust which has just been painted over so it doesn't show in the photos.

The ones which have really looked the part are the ones that are privately owned by friends or relatives who are helping out for the day

Think about how much these cars cost to run and maintain. If it's for a business you're going to reduce those costs any way you can. If it's your pride and joy you'll spend as much as it takes to keep it perfect.

Bit of a mixture then I suppose mate. I'll be after a few quid every few weeks to help offset the higher fuel bills etc. Not essential, but I think it'd be quite a nice thing to do with the car...

And then there is the bridesmaids lick
