How do you go about making an animated banner advert that links to your website?

Are there any free editors available that are easy to use?

If i could get one in a file ready to be emailed out when i agree a link exchange that would be great. is this possible?

Thanks smile

Hey,

They are just animated .gifs. You make the separate images, then join them together in photoshop.

The other option is Flash adverts, which are 'mini cartoons'

Hmmm... might have to bite the bullet and actually buy photoshop then laugh

There are plenty of other programs that can do it though mate, have a quick google.

PS just has a wizard. The GIMP might do too.

I may be being a bit obvious...
...but why not get a designer to do it?

If you don't know the programs you probably will take 3 times as long as a pro and end up with something not all that great.
From what I've known of you KR, I know you will have the exact ad planned out so it shouldn't need to much planning from the designer if any and therefore be fairly cheap.

Let me know if I can help -Perhaps a flash banner might be better for what you need? We can do either GIF or Flash fairly cheaply.
