Database needed - Utility companies

[Pappa Lurve]

Hey,

Working on a new project and I need a data base of commercial contacts within European, UK and US utility companies, preferably on billing / ayment / finance side.

Anyone knwo where I can get such a thing?

Cheers

A long shot but are they on yell.co.uk? I once wrote a little app to scrape their website for data - I haven't used it in ages so might not work anymore, but if it does, and if the companies you're after are on there it might be useful.

Have you tried contacting a list broker like MarketScan, Marketingfile or Experian (there are loads but these are off the top of my head)? You can then ask them to filter by SIC code for utility companies. Not sure they'll be able to supply European and US names but you can try, I know some of them have online tools you can use as well to query the data yourself.
